What an ad is on Traylo
An ad is a unit a business turns on with its points to show in a specific place. It always carries the word “Ad” at its top, the advertiser's name, and opens “Why am I seeing this?” in one tap.
Ordinary business pages are not ads and never carry that word.
Where ads appear
In lists, search results and the map at fixed positions, and the first result is never an ad. Ads may also appear on Home and in stories, a limited number per screen.
Where ads never appear
- Business and place pages, and the menus and offers inside them.
- The trip planner, shared trips, and the assistant's answers.
- Saved places and reviews.
- Notifications, e-mail and messages.
- The emergency, prayer times and exchange rate tools.
- Your account, points, and any confirmation screen.
- Guides and articles, these pages, and any search without results.
How we choose an ad
Only from the context of the page: the area, the category, the season, the filters you chose, and the destination you picked on Home.
We don't use your age, gender, nationality or religion, what you viewed or searched for before, your saved places, your trips or your past locations.
Ads don't change the order or the reviews
An ad never changes the order of other results, never shows star ratings or quotes from reviews, and never changes which reviews appear. The details are in how we rank results.
What we don't accept in ads
- Misleading claims, or a discount without a clear reference price.
- Illegal services, or tours and transfers from a business whose licence we have not checked.
- AI-generated images that are not labelled as such.
- Artificial urgency, such as countdown timers or claims of scarcity that aren't real.
Every ad is checked automatically before it shows, some campaigns are reviewed by hand, and we stop anything that breaks these rules.
What you can do
From “Why am I seeing this?” you can hide a business's ads for 30 days or report an ad, without an account. Reports reach our team for review.
